Zach became a Certified Personal Trainer in 2014, and has been actively coaching clients ever since!
Shortly after becoming a personal trainer, Zach began to develop a passion for holistic health, understanding that there are multiple key lifestyle factors that go into creating and sustaining high levels of health and performance.
He decided to undergo and complete a formal education studying Nutrition and Dietetics, while concurrently self-studying Corrective Holistic Exercise Kinesiology via the CHEK Institute.
Zach plans to continue his education through the CHEK Institute in addition to specializing in Integrative and Functional Nutrition as a currently Licensed Registered Dietitian.
Zach graduated from Buffalo State College with his bachelors degree in nutrition and dietetics after completing the coordinated program, a difficult program that combines science-heavy coursework with a clinical internship. This program equips nutrition professionals (RD's) with the skills necessary to educate, guide and coach clients using an evidence-based approach.
Zach plans to continue down this path by specializing in Integrative and Functional Nutrition, a branch of Dietetics that focuses on using food as medicine and applying a holistic lifestyle and root cause approach to overcoming a variety of health challenges.
The CHEK Institute is a highly esteemed and growing academy that teaches practitioners to comprehensively assess clients before beginning a coaching program. A CHEK Practitioner takes a multidisciplinary approach to solving health problems, and works with the client and other health professionals to build health, vitality and high performance from the inside out.
As a CHEK Practitioner Zach is well equipped to identify and correct a variety of postural imbalances, muscular weaknesses and imbalances, and faulty movement patterns that are frequently at the root cause of many pain symptoms.
The gym was designed to emphasize functional strength using free weights (barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells) and also to emphasize bodyweight training using the rings and floor space. These tools all facilitate natural human movements - which will quickly shine a light on imbalances and allow us to work through them and strengthen your body.
By training and growing stronger using these tools, your body will adapt by becoming stronger, more resilient, less prone to injury, you will build muscle and bolster your metabolism, your core strength will dramatically improve, your posture will significantly improve, you will gain confidence in your physical capabilities and you will be better equipped to engage in life in a more functional manner.
